Eligibility Requirements
- Vehicle must be on the OZEV approved list
- Maximum recommended retail price (OTR) of £50,000
- Must be a new vehicle (not used)
- CO2 emissions must be less than 50g/km
- Must be able to travel at least 70 miles on electric power alone
- Purchase must be through an authorised OZEV dealer
- Vehicle must meet minimum safety and emissions standards
- Grant is applied at point of sale (not claimed afterwards)

What about used EVs?
The plug-in car grant is only available for new vehicles. However, used EVs can still benefit from other incentives like the 2% BIK rate if used through salary sacrifice, and zero VED (road tax).
How long will the grant be available?
